Jailbreak firmware 3.1.2 for all devices on Windows or Mac

The jailbreak is by GeoHot and it is one of the easiest things I've ever done. Here's the video tutorial.

Jailbreak 3.1 with Pwnage Tool for Mac

The jailbreak for firmware 3.1 has been released. The Dev Team has released Pwnage Tool 3.1.3, which is only for Macs. Unfortunately, they will not have a version for the PC. For this to work you will need to have already pwned your device at firmware 3.0 or 3.0.1. All iPhones and iPod Touches except the 3rd generation iPod Touch will work.

redsn0w jailbreak for 3.0 out for Windows

The Dev Team has released redsn0w for Windows and Mac. This program will jailbreak and unlock the iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 1G, and iPod Touch 2G. Only the iPhone 3Gs is not yet compatible. The process is simple and like many previous Quickpwn jailbreaks, this does require the tricky process of holding down the Power Button/Home Buttons. Watch my video below for the tutorial.

Jailbreak firmware 3.0 for iPhone (1st gen & 3G) and iPod Touch (1st gen)

Great news! The Dev Team has released pwnagetool to jailbreak and unlock your devices. However this is only for Mac computers as of now. Check out their blog for download links and more information. The process requires you to creat a .ipsw firmware with pwnagetool and then restore it in iTunes with the "shift click restore" method. The Dev Team says they will have a version ready for PC a "sometime soon." So be on the watch for that!
